MEET AARON ZABORAC
INSTRUCTOR
Aaron Zaborac has served in Law Enforcement for over 20 years and is currently working for a large central Illinois city police department. During that time, his assignments have included: Patrol Officer, Detective in Criminal Investigations Unit, Officer in Special Investigations Unit/Vice – Target Offender Unit, and as an Operator and Team Leader for the department’s Special Response Team (SRT) aka SWAT.
He is still actively operational on the SRT entry team and as an explosive breacher. He currently holds several instructor certifications and regularly instructs courses as a Master Firearms Instructor, Master Arrest and Control Tactics Instructor, Master TASER Instructor, CQB, Tactics & Shoot House Instructor, and CQB Combatives Instructor.
He has also instructed several civilian-related courses with a unique understanding of bridging the gap between Law Enforcement and civilians and which practical skills actually translate to the everyday person. This translation is able to provide skills and tactics that are applicable to individuals who are seeking to become more tactically aware and able to rise to the occasion should they face a stressful or violent encounter.
Even further he also has extensive knowledge on understanding how individuals learn the Combat Arts and spent years applying that knowledge to develop progressive courses and scenario-based training. His style of instruction comes with the understanding of human learning and behavioral tendencies; particularly with regard to choosing and teaching skills for effective performance in high-risk, survival-stress situations.
