While close-quarters combat is often associated with military and law enforcement\, its principles are highly applicable in everyday environments. Over the course of two days\, students will learn how to move tactically through rooms and confined spaces\, identify and respond to active threats\, and operate with greater awareness and control inside the home. \nTopics include\n\nDeliberate CQC advantages and application\nDeliberate vs. Dynamic (Hostage Rescue) philosophy\nWeapons positions during movement\nWeapons safety and manipulation\nActions at the door and threshold assessments\nRoom pie methods (1- and 2-person)\nTwo-person actions inside the room\nPrioritization of threats and target identification\nDe-escalation methods from the threshold\n\nGear Requirements \n\nAR .556 style rifle with magazines\nIf students don’t have an AR\, they will be issued Glock UTM pistols and ammunition for an additional cost of $50\nEye protection\nFor your AR\, you need a standard lower and buffer assembly to be compatible with UTM bolts. (i.e. not a law tactical side folder or a JP silent capture bolt carrier)\n\n\n\n\nCancellations: Full refund if canceled within 30 days of class start.
